With the advent of pesticides and herbicides for the farming industry came the cheaper foods and the higher rate of disease in the people that eat those foods. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out and I personally don’t need some scientist to tell me there is nothing wrong with eating these foods.
I’m quite a bit smarter than that and I don’t go for the hype that the media and the manufacturers of these chemicals try to tell us. I look around and I see there is something terribly wrong with our modern way of living. People are sicker and fatter then ever before. How could this be so wide spread if it isn’t in the food?
So that is just a couple reasons to go organic! How about the environment? How about the wild life? DDT was banned because it was killing off animals especially Eagles. We just haven’t seen the impact that our current chemicals are creating. I can’t believe there isn’t an impact that we need to fix. Last I heard there is a dwindling of honey bees going on. If that’s true then my guess is that man has something to do with it.
Okay okay I do get passionate about what the major corporations do to us and the environment in their quest for money. So now I will get to the real reason for this post.
Growing organic vegetables the easy way has many benefits for your well being and your sanity. A garden is very therapeutic both mentally and physically. It is relaxing and it is fulfilling at the same time. You get exercise for the body and you get the joys of nature for the mind. What could be better than that. Unless you want to factor in the money savings from growing some or all of your own food.
Now you may be thinking that organic gardening is very difficult to do but it really isn’t. Gardening organically was how everyone used to do it way before man started to make all his chemicals. So really all we are doing is reverting back to the way that works the best.
Organic vegetables that are grown in good conditions with mulch and compost and worms and lady bugs are beautiful large and juicy. They have far more nutrition for your body as they are grown in soil that has naturally occurring nutrients and minerals. These plants convert that raw goodness to the nutrition your body requires.

If you’re not quite sure how to build a garden or how big to make it then my suggestion would be to get yourself more information on this so you can build your knowledge base and make decisions that wont overwhelm you.
I’ve found a very handy web page that you can visit to get all the information you need for your organic gardening needs. If you want to grow in containers then this covers it. If you want to take a section of your yard or land to grow in then this also covers that. All of the aspects of gardening organically are covered.
Just Click Here to visit the site.
Growing organic vegetables the easy way is just that. Easy! You can make a small bed either raised or flat that measures just 3′ X 6′ and grow several different veggies in it from spring through summer and even through the fall in most areas.
Preparing the bed is also very easy to do. You are going to be mixing soils and making a fertile bed for the plants to grow in. Then planting the seeds and watching to see them grow. To your delight you get to watch them mature into wonderful large plants with wholesome fruits abounding.
In an upcoming post I’ll be covering the benefits of composting.
See you there.
